Married SARAH MARY UPPEY 1646 – 1726; parents of:

Henry BOONE 1663 – 1663

"The Boone Society spent several thousand dollars between 2000 and May of 2004 to learn the correct lineage of George Boone who married Mary Milton Mogridge. We know that the contrived and made up line that has Ann Fallace and George 1 is not correct. With three certified genealogist, two from England, no Ann Fallace is found in all of England."

"GEORGE BOONE II, (Son of George Boone, the First) was born in or near the City of Exeter in Devonshire; being a Blacksmith; his Wife's Maiden Name was Sarah Uppey. (or possibly Oppey) He died age 60; and she died aged 80 years, and never had an aching Bone, or decay'd Tooth."

The Boone Society has not been able to find the marriage or birth records for George Boone II and his wife Sarah, and cannot confirm her maiden name of Uppey."

221 Birth: 1752
Rowan County
North Carolina, USA
Death: 1832
Madison County
Kentucky, USA

Daughter of Samuel Boone, Sr. and Sarah Day. Her birth and death dates are estimated.

Elizabeth was probably born before 1752, in either Pennsylvania or North Carolina, and died between Sept. 26, 1832 and Nov. 14, 1833, in Kentucky. It is assumed that she died in Madison Co., KY, where she was living in 1832.

As a young child, Elizabeth Boone, her parents, and some of her siblings, left Rowan Co., NC, during the Indian outbreaks of 1759. They were living in South Carolina, when her brother, (Rev.) Squire Boone, was born (Oct. 13), 1760. ("The Boone Family," by Ella Hazel A. Spraker)

She married William White probably in South Carolina, and they resided close to or with her Boone family in the Camden District on the Congaree River in South Carolina. In 1779, the family of Samuel Boone Sr., left South Carolina to settle in Kentucky.

Children:
Mary "Polly" White ca 1772-bef. 1804* (m. Jan. 28, 1790-James Brooks)
Rebecca White ca 1777-1844 (m. May 25, 1797-Isaac Willcockson)

William White had a sister named Elizabeth Isabella White, possibly confused as a daughter (ca 1749-ca 1814 Winchester, Clark Co., KY, married VA 1774- John Bledsoe ca 1742 VA-1799 Clark Co., KY, Will Book I, p. 195)

A William White was recorded giving his permission for the marriage in Mason Co., KY, on Jan. 28, 1790, of his daughter, Mary White, to James Brooks, officiated by Elder William Wood of the Limestone Baptist Church aka Washington Baptist Church. (Marriages: Mason Co., KY Early Marriages Through 1850)

*Mary White Brooks may have died by 1804, in Clark Co., KY, as James Brooks is said to have given his children over to the guardianship of others.

William White's name and signature are on a marriage bond dated May 19, 1797, including the name of his wife, Elizabeth, for daughter - "Rebeccah White to Isaac Wilcokson." (Isaac and Rebecca married May 25, 1797, Clark Co., KY.)

Elizabeth White made an affidavit in Clark Co., KY, for her brother, Samuel Boone, Jr., when he applied for his military pension on Sept. 26, 1832. In her affidavit, she stated that she lived in Madison Co., KY, was OVER 80 years old, and the widow of William White.

About a year later on Nov. 14, 1833, Samuel Boone, Jr., re-appeared in the Fayette County (KY) Court house for a new matter regarding his pension, where he stated that he did not know if "any person was living, by whom he could make the proof."

222 Birth: 1764
Stockbridge
Berkshire County
Massachusetts, USA
Death: Jun. 6, 1799
Tioga County
New York, USA

Via History of Tioga, Chemung, Tompkins, and Schuyler counties, New York, he is said to be buried in the Catlin Cemetery, which to my understanding is now called Tioga Cemetery.

Reference: The Catlin Cemetery was used many years, and many of the pioneers repose quietly on the scene of their early labors. Here lies David Pixley, who died in 1799.

Reference: The first recorded death is that of David Pixley, who died June 6, 1799, aged thirty-five years, and who was a son of Colonel Pixley. He was buried in the wilderness, and the Tioga Cemetery occupies the same locality.

Reference: David Pixley, Jr., was born at Stockbridge in 1764 and was the only son of Col. David Pixley by his first wife. He married Drusilla Bond. He was only 35 years old when he died in the town of Tioga, June 6, 1799. His body was the first one buried where the Tioga cemetery now is, which was then in the woods. His wife died June 1, 1822, aged 57 years, and her body is also buried there.

reference to his father: (Capt)David Pixley (Sr.), married, Dec. 8, 1762, Lois Whittlesey, in Stockbridge, 1st wife; 2nd, about 1774, married Lydia Patterson in Stockbridge.

David married Drusilla Bond and had 5 children. "David Pixley, Jr., was a surveyor. He was one of the most influential of the proprietors of the 'Boston Ten Townships.' His children were Charles B., Jeremiah, Mary Ann, David and Jonathan. He lived on the west side of the Owego creek, a little less than half a mile below Leach's mill."

Children:

1. Jeremiah. Unmarried.

2. Charles. A Hatter in Binghamton, N. Y.; died aged 82 years; married a Miss Colyer. No children.

3. Mary Ann, born 1796; died April 22, 1875; married Alanson Goodrich, a farmer of Oswego, N. Y. Had three sons, one daughter.

4. David, born 1798; died December 1, 1863; married Adelia Jones; born 1801; died 1853. Had two sons, who died of typhoid fever in 1862.

Son of Isaac Willcockson and Rebecca White. His father's will and Daniel's land deeds include his middle initial "B."

Boone Co., MO, Marriage Books A and B 1820-1848, p. 129: "This is to certify and make known that on the third day of April, 1836, I joined in bonds of marriage Daniel Wilcoxen and Catherine Griggs, both of the County of Boone and State of Missouri. Given under my hand and seal on the day above written. Berryman Wren"

Known children:
Napoleon R. "Pola" Willcockson
Theresa Ann "Crissa" Willcockson (1m. James H. Foster) (2m. Hiram Gibson)
Mortimer Thomas Buchanan "Buck" Willcoxon (Nancy T. Poland)
Nancy Mildred Willcoxon (1m. John M. Willcoxon) (2m. Dr. Francis H. Richardson) (3m. John M. Calvin)
infant died in 1854
John William Wilcox 1853-1935 (1m. Mary A. Mustain) (2m. Mrs. Fanny Carson Watts)

Daniel and Catherine were listed separately with their parents before they were married, as members of the Goshen Primitive Baptist Church in Wilton, Boone Co., MO.

Goshen Church record pronounced Daniel deceased in 1847, but Daniel was very much alive in the 1850 Census for Bates Co., MO, where he resided with wife "Mary, Pola, Buck, Crissa and Nancy."

There is no proof that Daniel and Catherine were born in Tennessee as this census indicates. Both of their families resided in Clark Co., KY.

After Daniel's parents were deceased, his brother-in-law, John Sappington, was assignee for Daniel's inheritance, November of 1852, indicating that Daniel was deceased between 1850 and Nov. 1852.

Jan. 15, 1856, Daniel's brother, Samuel Wilcockson, purchased 40 acres next to land "once belonging to Daniel B. Willcockson."

There is no proof that Daniel was buried in the Goshen Cemetery.
